COMBINED CYCLE: OPTIMISED EFFICIENCY
The ATINKOU plant is based on a proven but optimized technological principle: the combined gas-vapor cycle.
This strategic choice allows us to reconcile industrial performance and environmental liability.
How's it working?
Smart chaining to produce more with less.
FUEL
Natural gas supplies Class F turbine to produce a first quantity of electricity.
RECOVERY
Instead of being lost, the residual heat of the smoke is captured by a 3 pressure level boiler.
VAPEUR
This heat turns water into steam, which activates a second turbine. We produce additional electricity without adding gas.
BEST PERFORMANCE
This system makes it possible to make maximum use of the energy from the gas. The efficiency is significantly higher than a conventional thermal power plant (Open Cycle).
MASTERED IMPACT
By producing a second generation of electricity without additional fuel consumption, we mechanically reduce our CO2 emissions per kWh produced.
